Two games will get the national spotlight on Thursday night in NFL preseason sports betting. The running game was nothing special as Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw combined for 63 yards.

Backup QB’s – The New England Patriots have Brian Hoyer as their backup to Tom Brady. It will basically be Hoyer’s competition since Brady won’t play long. He’s been okay in relief of Brady in the preseason so the New England Patriots aren’t impossible. The Giants have a huge problem after Eli Manning leaves the competition on Thursday. Their backup is Jim Sorgi though he’s been hurt. It’s been third-string quarterback Rhett Bomar who has been gaining the majority of the action. He does not really give you much assurance. You have to worry about Bomar playing poorly, though you could like to make your wager on the New York Giants in this competition vs the NFL preseason prospects. It is feasible that Sorgi will return for this competition and if so, that might be good news for New York since Sorgi will want to play well to make sure he still has the backup quarterback job.
